2.1 What browser should I use for the best experience?
For the best experience you should use the latest stable versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. HackerRank works well on Mozilla Firefox version 35 and above, and Google Chrome version 40 and above.
2.2 A question does not load properly and I cannot see all images or widgets on the question page. What should I do?
If you are experiencing slow internet speed, some components of the page may not load. Such issues are generally solved by refreshing your browser tab/window. Refreshing your browser tab while you are taking a test will not affect your flow. You will be brought back to exactly where you were and you can continue solving problems.
2.3 I clicked on “Move to full screen mode”. The test is now full screen, but I still see the popup there.
This happens when you use HackerRank on an older browser. Please upgrade your browser and start the test again. Refer 2.1 to to see the latest browser versions.
2.4 I lost internet connectivity in the middle of my test. What do I do now?
My computer crashed while I was in the middle of the test. What do I do now?
Don’t worry! Your answers will get saved on our servers. You can log back into the test from the Placements page from the same computer or from another computer using the same email address and continue coding from where you left. However the test timer will not stop ticking while you are offline. So please reach out to LinkedIn using their Contact Us form at the bottom of their Help Center, and tell them about your situation if you could not complete your test because of lost time. As a general guideline, you should test the computer you want to use prior to taking the test on it.
2.5 Under high load: What is the meaning of the following message?
This will not be a common occurrence. But if you see this screen, it means that HackerRank is experiencing high load and may not be available for next 60 minutes. Please go to LinkedIn Placements page and try taking the test after 60 minutes.
2.6 Something went wrong: I see the following message on the website. What does this mean?
This will not be a common occurrence. If this happens, that means something went wrong with HackerRank website and it is unavailable for a while. You can try after 30 minutes and things should be up and running.
