You’ll soon have access to an enhanced Greenhouse integration to help you deliver an excellent candidate experience.
If you’re already leveraging the Greenhouse to HackerRank integration, you’ll need to update your credentials on the Greenhouse integrations settings page to access the new integration on January 26, 2024.
Note: Please perform these steps before January 26, 2024, to ensure no interruptions to your HackerRank/Greenhouse integration.
Step 1: Open the Greenhouse integration settings page in HackerRank
You can start by opening up the Greenhouse integration settings page in HackerRank. You can find this page by clicking on your profile image in the top right corner, clicking settings, and then clicking integrations in the left panel.
Scroll down to Greenhouse and click Configure.
Take a look at the field labeled Greenhouse Harvest API Token. You may have already added your Harvest API Token.
If your Harvest API Token is already added to the settings page, you cannot edit that field, as seen in the image below. You can then skip ahead to Step 3. If you haven’t added your Harvest API Token, please follow the instructions in Step 2.
Step 2: Add your Harvest API Token
You'll need to log in to Greenhouse to complete this step.
Generate a Harvest API Token in the Greenhouse
Please follow the steps documented under “Create a new Harvest API key” in this Greenhouse support article to generate a new Harvest API key.
Add your Harvest API Token to HackerRank
Once you’ve generated your Harvest API key, you can navigate back to the Greenhouse integration settings page in HackerRank. You can then paste the API key into the field marked “Greenhouse Harvest API Token.”
After adding your token, you’re ready to proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Add your Greenhouse User ID
In this step, you’ll add your Greenhouse User ID to the integration settings page in HackerRank.

Find your Greenhouse User ID
You can start by navigating to Greenhouse. You can follow the steps in this Greenhouse support article to capture your User ID.
Add your Greenhouse User ID to HackerRank
Once you have your Greenhouse User ID, you can head back to the Greenhouse integration settings page in HackerRank. You can then copy and paste your Greenhouse User ID into the field labeled “Greenhouse User ID.”
Test and save integration settings.
After ensuring you’ve added both your Harvest API Token and your Greenhouse User ID, you can click “Test and Save.”
If you’ve added your details correctly, you’ll see a message, “ATS Settings Updated.” This message indicates that your integration settings have been updated correctly.
