The employee platform is segregated into three tabs:
On the home page, you can see two sections:
This section shows you the certificates you have earned and tracks your progress toward your next certification goal. To view each role's certificate and progress details, utilize the slider component to scroll through them. Monitoring this section empowers you to take ownership of your learning path.
This section shows the additional certifications your leadership team suggested for you. Utilize this tailored guidance to open up new skills-development opportunities aligned with organizational needs. Tracking these recommendations allows you to see areas where growing your capabilities can stretch your impact.
This directory enables you to explore in-demand skills to acquire. You can view globally trending abilities and all the skills available in HackerRank's library, organized by categories such as AI & ML, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, and more. Tracking skills here provide visibility into those that align with organizational needs and can grow your impact.
SkillUp categorizes each skill into one of three primary proficiency levels to provide clear insights into your expertise and mastery.
Here is an overview of each level:
Foundational: The Foundational level represents a basic understanding of the skill.
Intermediate: The Intermediate level reflects a deeper understanding and practical application of the skill.
Expert: The Expert level signifies mastery and advanced proficiency in the skill.
In addition to the three primary levels, a Beginner designation is assigned when a developer attempts a proficiency-level test but does not meet the passing criteria.
This level:
Indicates an opportunity for growth and learning in the skill.
Encourages further practice and study to achieve the Foundational level.
Acts as a starting point for tracking improvement over time.
The recommended learning resources cover the concepts needed to attain the proficiency badge.
To test your skills, you can use the Practice Assessments. These untimed tests provide a safe environment to hone your coding skills without consequences. Only you can access the results of these assessments.
These assessments are unlimited; you can keep practicing until you can take one.
In your practice assessments, you'll have access to an AI Tutor Bot in the form of a Socratic tutor. This assistant is designed to help you learn and understand new skills as you work through real-world coding challenges. The AI assistant can:
Explain the problem statement and requirements
Debug your code and point out errors or inefficiencies
Suggest alternative solutions or approaches
Answer questions and guide the way
You can take the skill proficiency assessment once you are ready to assess your skills. These assessments help you evaluate your expertise in a specific area.
Select the proficiency level and click on the Earn Badge. This will take you to the test environment.
This directory empowers you to explore organizational roles that match your skills. View roles organized by category where you can earn certifications based on your capabilities. Assess your readiness for each role while understanding the required skills and certification details. Tracking this directory provides visibility into areas where focused development can strengthen your impact and eligibility for new responsibilities over time.
You can click on the desired role to look for the required skill proficiency. The graph at the bottom of the page compares your current and required skill levels to help you understand the areas to focus on. If you have all the necessary skills for a role, you can take the certification test and add it to your profile.
Role certification assessments lead to professional credentials certified by SkillUp, validating your knowledge and competency in a particular role. Earning these certifications showcases your readiness for specific job roles and responsibilities. When all the prerequisites are unlocked, you can take the assessment by clicking the Take the Certification button.
Employees can access a comprehensive overview of their certification performance, including a breakdown of each assessed skill, individual scores, the number of test cases passed, and the time spent on each section. Once employees achieve certification, you can download their certificate directly from the results panel.
Once you have earned the certification, it will show up on your profile with the date you earned it.
Your profile is the equivalent of a resume. You can write your bio here and provide social links, such as LinkedIn, Github, Stack Overflow, Twitter, or a personal website. The certifications you have completed and skill badges you have attained will appear here.
To access your profile, click on the name in the top right corner and select My Profile.
